Eat Until You Can’t Breathe in Melbourne

Whoops, I know the title is a bit too much. But trust me. That’s just how it is. Travelling to Melbourne is not enough without exploring the food. I don’t really like Melbourne because I prefer exploring the outdoors. But everyone kept telling me, you have to visit this restaurant, that bar, the cafe at bla bla bla. I’m not that kind of person who likes visiting a new place alone. At least there has to be someone who can easily enter the place, but that person isn’t Aldi, my husband. He’s just like me. I don’t know why. Maybe because we’re ashamed? But what are we ashamed of?

I’m also not a total foodie. That’s why, visiting restaurants isn’t always on my list. But if I find a good place, I can go there a million times and this place I’m about to tell you is one of them. So how did I find it? Because it’s located near my place. 5 minute-walk and that’s it. My husband and I walked through it a lot of times and we knew that the place is always busy. So one day, we tried looking it up on Google. That was when we figured out that it’s an all you can eat restaurant and we have to reserve a table before coming.

I don’t like making reservations through phone calls and this restaurant is just so perfect! I can do it online without any down payment or whatever.

Now you know the name of the restaurant. Japanese food it is! I’ve been there three times and none of the food has failed me. Everything there is just so yummy. I think I’ve tried almost everything. I think it’s about time for me to tell you what they have.

Wait. Before I show you the pictures of the food I wanna give you some tricks if you happen to dine in there. First, take a look at the menu before you come. You can simply open Google and find the menu there. Second, make note of which food you want to order. Third, when you’re already at the restaurant and the waiter/waitress asks, you can tell him/her the list that you have made before. Trust me, it works really well.

On my first visit, I ordered the food one by one and it took forever for them to arrive on my table. I don’t know if they did it on purpose or what. Because there’s a time limit for the customers to dine in. As you know that this is an all you can eat restaurant, so they only give us two hours, tops, to enjoy the food. So better to order everything in advance and enjoy them all at once. here are the food I always order.

Teriyaki Steak. There’s Miso Steak as well. Those 2 are my favourite. The beef is so tender and somehow it melts in my mouth. This is a must! It’ll be a sin if you don’t try it.
Beef Capacio. This one is also a must. I don’t know which type of beef they use, probably Japanese wagyu. The texture is very soft. I can chew it with my tongue!
Sushi Sashimi Platter. It’s always on my order list. I love sushi and sashimi and the salmon here is always so fresh.
Seaweed Salad. This is the best companion for every dish. I don’t know how they make it or what ingredients they use, but I just can’t stop eating!
Takoyaki. You must know this one. It’s just an ordinary takoyaki but it’s worth to try.
Prawn Gyoza. This one is also nice. I’m not really a fan of gyoza, though. But it’s good to dip it in souyu with wasabi.
Chicken Katsu & Chicken Karaage. They don’t look so good but they are! If you’re a fan of fried food, these can be a good choice. The sauce they use is very nice.
Vegetable Spring Rolls. Is spring roll one of the typical food from Japan? I’m not sure because some Asian countries have it too, even my country, Indonesia. If you like spring rolls, try this one.
Stir Fried Beef Udon. It look so ordinary, I know. But trust me, it’s so yummy!
There’s always room for dessert! Black sesame and matcha ice cream. There’s another flavour, vanilla ice cream, but I believe the taste is just like the other vanilla ice cream. I love the ice cream here. The taste is not too much. It’s so perfect to end the feast.
Peach Iced Tea. This is the best peach iced tea I’ve ever tasted so far!
Forgive me, I forgot the name of this one. If I’m not mistake , it’s Omashu something. But it’s definitely sweet sake. This one is also dope! I love it! I’ll definitely order this again!
My Hubby. No, he’s not on the menu.

That’s all! Now I’m starving! Thanks to the food photos myself took. See you. I’ll be back for more!
